FOOTBALL!!!

It is officially fall, and I couldn't be more excited!  I love everything about fall.  The colors are beautiful, the weather is gorgeous, and something about fall just seems so homey to me.  One of my favorite things about fall though is football season!  I love going to football games, and having a team that is awesome is just the icing on the cake.  I have self proclaimed myself as an official Curley Wolf!  My high school was not a winning football team, but I loved it anyway.  Still though, there is nothing like being part of a winning team!  Brailyn is already turning into a football fanatic.  How could she not?  We go to all the games we can.  Then, on the weekends, I don't think my TV knows anything but football.  Brailyn looks at the TV and says "The ballgame!"  As a matter of fact, just 15 minutes ago she was in her room, supposed to be asleep, but she was saying "see the ballgame?"  I think she wanted out of her crib.  No worries, she is asleep now.  She is the absolute sweetest thing!  She watches he games with us and says things like "Go Curney Wooves!" and "come on guys!"  HA!!!  I think she may here those phrases quite a bit.  We are a Curley wolves and Hog loving household here!  She watched her first Hogs game the other day and I think she got a little confused.  We told her to say Go Razorbacks, but the only thing that comes out of her mouth even now is "Go Curney-Backs!"  She is so precious.  Anyway, here are some pictures of our football adventures thus far this season.  I can't wait for more!

This was the Prescott-Gurdon game. Prescott won!!!! It was a shut-out. Mercy rule is the best.  We were out of there by 9:30!  Talk about great!  Brailyn had fun playing with Elise.  They paced those bleachers so excited about the game! HA  AT least they had each other to keep themselves entertained!  They are precious!

Elise giving Brailyn some payback, I mean some love! HA  So sweet!

Is this not precious!

"What kind of play was that guys?"
This was before the Prescott-Nashville game!  Prescott won again!  28-21!  It was probably the best High school game I have ever watched!  Prescott was amazing, and I have to give a shout out to Amanda for keeping the girls entertained!  Technology is our friend.  All four of us got to watch a big portion of the game this time thanks to Amanda's phone and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Gang!  We didn't leave that game till 10:30 so the yelling and screaming during the final minutes of the game didn't sit to well with my little one.  She was pretty good though!
Cheesin' with daddy before the game!

Oh Technology!
We headed down to Jody's parents for the first Arkansas game.  We didn't get the channel it came on, so we took over their house.  Brailyn doesn't have any Razorback outfits, it's a shame I know, so she wore her patriotic shirt since it was the game before the September 11th anniversary.  Isn't she cute?!?

This was our wild party!

Our wonderful but sad looking food!

I'm ready for some more!!!!  Go Curley Wolves and WOOOOOOO PIG SOOOOOOIE!

Snap, Crackle, & Pop

I'm sure we all remember the Rice Krispie commercials where the families are having a picture perfect time making Rice Krispie treats.  Brailyn and I had our own little picture perfect day a few days ago.  Well, it may not have been perfect to the standards of those commercials, but it was sure perfect to us!

Brailyn loves to help me in the kitchen with whatever I happen to be doing at the time.  I do not mind at all!  It may take me a little longer to get something done, or she may make a bigger mess, but I wouldn't trade any moment with her for anything in this world!  I have been wanting to let her help me cook something, but I haven't cooked anything recently that she could help with.  So the other day, I decided we would make Rice Krispie treats, well, more like Crisp Rice treats! :)  We had a blast!!!  She helped me measure out how much cereal we needed, then she took it upon herself to add the greek seasoning to the mix! HA   Thankfully it was the bowl of extras that she seasoned up!  What a big helper! And may I add, that we had about as many on the floor as we did in the bowl, but she got to pour them in all be herself!  After we got them mixed up, we cut them out in fun shapes: hearts, circles, and stars!  She had fun helping me! I think she took more time eating the parts that got stuck to her hand.  She wasn't crazy about them, but she kept asking for one.  I'm not sure she ever finished a whole one.  We sure had a great time cooking together, and I can't wait for many more perfect memories like this one!
Pouring them in!  Isn't she a pro?!?
"We need one more mommy!"
Helping mommy cut them out!
Sneaky, huh? :)
My sweet baby!
Finished product!!!  They didn't last very long!

Fun at the Fair

The last full week in August was the Nevada County Fair week.  Even though our fair is not very big, I love it!  I have always loved the small town life, and fairs and festivals are just fun to me.  I'm not sure what it is about them.  I just love it!  Jody is a little less enthused so I hope Brailyn takes after me! :)

This was at the parade on Thursday!  I couldn't take any pictures of the actual parade since I was handling this wiggle worm by myself, but she sure is the cutest wiggle worm I've ever seen!

Brailyn had a blast this year!  She got to run around and play and look at all the animals! The animals are the biggest part of our fair.  The first night we went, we sat down in the bleachers to watch the show.  A lot of our youth from church show animals, so we like to go and watch.  By the way, they all did AWESOME!  The goats came out first and Brailyn immediately recognized Carter, a boy form church.  She kept saying, "There Carter!" over and over again.  Then she kept saying "There goats.  Maaa!"  It was hilarious!  We had a great time!  Kristi got Brailyn and took her to see their goats.  Brailyn got to get in the pin with them and chase them around. Poor goats.  The only thing Brailyn could talk about the next day was going to the fair and seeing the "anmals."  She talked about Carter's and Em's goats, Ashlynn and Raliegh's cows, etc.

"Peek-A-Boo"

Brushing Raliegh's cow!
The next night was the sale.  Jody is a buyer for Farm Credit, so we always get to go and eat early.  We got there and all Brailyn wanted to do was go see the goats, pigs, and cows!  She knew just who to go to also, Kristi!  HA  We ate, then Shane, Amanda, and Elise got there.  The girls had fun catching up!  Brailyn walked up to Elise and said "I 'ike' your bow!"  Where does she learn these things?!?

Daddy took her with him every time he bought an animal!  She had a blast!  I can't wait for her to show animals, if she wants to of course! :)  I think she will!
Watching intently to make sure we want to buy this one!
"Hmmm..."
Brailyn was so good during the sale.  Then afterwards, Shane and Amanda let us have some of their tickets to ride the little train ride that was there!  Thank You!  The four of us rode and had a blast!

"Bye Daddy!  This is fun!"
They also had big bounce houses there (these were the only "rides").  So after the train ride, the four of us jumped in and had a grand ol' time!  We took our "annual" picture with the girls!  I wish I had the picture from last year to show and compare!  Go look at Amanda's blog if you would like to see it!

We had a great time, and Brailyn is still talking about the fair and all the "anmals!"  I already can't wait till next year! On a  side note, I entered 6 pictures in the fair and got 4 first place ribbons and two second place!  I also entered a can of jam and got second place!  I was pretty excited!  I'm already thinking of things to enter next year!  I love my, small town, takes very little to excite me life!
Brailyn tried out her photography skills!  Pretty good I think!
Our big girl!
