Halloween 2011

I'm just a tad late on this post but hey, at least I'm getting it up.  I wanted to make sure I got all of her birthday stuff up though!

After much deliberation, we finally decided to let Brailyn be Minnie Mouse.  She is in love with Minnie this year so we decided while she really liked her, we would go all out Minnie.  She was the cutest Minnie Mouse you have ever seen!
On Sunday night, we headed to Hot Springs to Andy and Jennifer's church so Brailyn could go to their Trunk or Treat.  We had a blast!  Our darling Madi, dressed as the cutest Dorthy you have ever seen, and Brailyn had so much fun!  Brailyn was so sweet!  On the way up there we got her to say "twick or tweet!"  But when we got there, she walked up to everyone, and I would ask her what she had to say and she always replied, "Please."  Then when they gave it to her she would say "Thank you!"  Great manners and I was so proud, but she didn't quite get the concept this year!  HA!

Isn't she cute!
I was all excited about going Trick or treating on Halloween night in town!  We were going to meet up with Shane, Amanda, and Elise and let the girls have a ball.  Unfortunately, I got sick that day, and we thought it best to saty in. :(  We decided to go ahead and carve a pumpkin and pass out candy to trick or treaters.  We had about 20 kids come to the house, and I was so excited!  This is the first year we have had any!
She would not touch the insides!  She can be such a girly girl!

Helping daddy while wearing her Easter bunny ears!  She may be a little confused! HA!

She would pick up the pieces that he cut out and go put them back!  She did a really good job matching them up!

Our handsome pumpkin!

Spooky huh? ;)
All in all we had fun, I just hope next year we get to do it all!

On the Day She Turned Two...

we did all the ordianry things, but this momma's heart couldn't get over the fact that her tiny baby was two years old already.  It breaks our hearts, but makes us ever so happy as we realize our children are growing up and seem to be getting bigger by the minute!  I don't know why Brailyn seemed so much older that day but she did.  Weird I know!  Here are a few pictures of our ordianry yet extraordinary day:
Little Miss Priss wouldn't look at the camera.  This is right after she got up that morning.  Loving the pused lips!

Sliding like a big 2 year old!

Shes so cute!

Cleaning up like a big girl!

She didn't know quite how to stop herself at the end of the slide, but she has since mastered it!  I told you they get bigger by the minute!  I love the chalk handprints on her legs!

Our birthday drawings!  We had to sing "Happy Birthday" and she blew out the candles on the cake!  So adorable!

Mommy getting a "big squeeze" from the birthday girl!  I couldn't get her to sit still at smile at the camera all at the same time!

"A Minnie Party!"

For over a month before Brailyn's 2nd birthday party got here, whenever someone would ask Brailyn what kind of party she was going to have she would grin from ear to ear and squeal, "A Minnie party!"  She was so excited, and I think she loved every minute of it!
I had a ball planning it.  I knew how I wanted to do her cake for the party for months.  My wonderful brother in law, Andy, did the invitations, and my wonderful sister in law, Jennifer, made her banner!  I loved both of these things!  We didn't do much decorating because we were having at the church, and it is really hard to make such a big area look decorated, but I loved all the little touches we had!

Brailyn was so sweet when she came in to see everything!  She just grinned and walked slow, and then she took off squealing!  I love it!  She had almost all of her cousins there to play with, and her best friend Elise!  I think they all had a big time!  Their party hats were Mickey and Minnie Mouse ears.  Too cute!

My niece modeling her party hat and treat bag goodies!
While we were singing Happy Birthday to her, she just stood there looking at everybody then we blew out the candles.  She did a good job.  She still pretends to sing and blow out candles, and "make a wish,"as she says. to this day!  She is precious!

Our sweet baby girl was so funny opening her gifts!  She got so excited about the tissue paper in her first gift, like it was the best present ever!  Then she took the rest of the paper from the other presents and pretended to blow her nose in each one!  She is such a hoot!  She got lots of good things and she was so appreciative of every gift!  It was precious!

Ready to dig in!

"Tissue Paper!"

Jody reading the cars that our nephew made for her!  It was so sweet!

Helping mommy read the card!

Blowing her nose!

Reading her Bible from "Mrs. Amana, Mr. Nane, and Eweese!"

She loved her piggy bank from Gramma and Pop-Up!

She really was so excited about everyone of her presents!

Saying Thank You!
After the party, some of our families came to the house to eat and see Brailyn get her last gift, a swing set!  It was a present from us and her Neena and Papa Dale!  She got so excited when she saw it!  All the cousins had a big time playing on it!

Seeing her  swing set for the first time!

We had a great 2nd Birthday!  I am so thankful for my sweet pumpkin head, and for all of our family and friends who came and made it that much more special!  On to planning her 3rd party! YAY!

Oh and on the way to her party, we were telling her where we were headed and talking all excited about her party and she says, "Going to have a Daisy Party!"  That is the first time she had said that.  So much for being excited about Minnie. HA!  We may have to look into that for next year!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

It's so hard to believe that at 5:41 P.M. today, you will officially be 2 years old.  My how time flies!  You are our precious baby girl, and we fell in love with you the moment we knew you were on your way.  The moment we saw you the first time, that love grew.  It has continued to grow and deepen with each passing day.  Daddy and Mommy are so blessed to be able to raise you.  We thank God everyday for trusting us to provide for you, raise you, and help you grow and become a wonderful Godly person(mommy couldn't say woman because it was breaking my heart to think that far down the road.) ;) We treasure you more than you will ever know!
You amaze us everyday.  You are always saying something or doing something new that just amazes us!  You keep us laughing constantly, and you definitely keep us on our toes!  Sometimes we can get so frustrated, but then you can love on us and give us "big squeezes"  and we just melt.  You are not perfect, but God knew that you would be perfect for us.
We pray that God blesses us with many, many more years with you.  You are such a joy and we wouldn't give anything for the time we have had and will have with you!  Happy Birthday Baby Girl!  Always know that Daddy and Mommy love you, and most of all that God loves you!
